Adobe has acquired Virtual Ubiquity, the maker of Buzzword, an online word processor. This move is expected to build on the PDF platform, and create Adobe's own web collaboration solution concerning documents. Buzzword has been in limited preview since May 2007, with users in more than 50 countries.
